Limerick based company UMR Group has announced their most recent purchase of James J. O’Donnell General Engineering Works Ltd based in Atlas Avenue, Dock Road, Limerick. O’Donnell Engineering, founded in 1948, specialises in metalwork design, supply, fabrication, installation, and repair work. An agreement was made for O’Donnells to continue operations until the end of 2021 and for Jim O’Donnell to assist in this transition. Founders of UMR Group Tony Donlan and John Hegarty are delighted to have closed this deal and to work alongside Jim O’Donnell a Limerick businessman who shares many of the same values. UMR Group felt this was an opportunity they could not overlook as this site is in such proximity to their other sites on the Dock Road. They believe this area of Limerick will thrive in the coming years in particular the Limerick Docks as a principal hub of commerce and trade. This news is the latest evidence of UMR Group’s continued growth and success in Limerick and the Mid-West region.
